Maria, a Central American immigrant is forced to leave her family in search of a better life. She is one of the thousands who leave Central America, crossing Mexico to reach the US border. Maria finds her dream of a better life turning into a nightmare. The road to prosperity is dangerous: robbery, rape, brutal violence and even death awaits. A vivid example of cinema verite with a twist, as we promise to find Maria’s family in Honduras and deliver a message.
