Twelve young guys push an old piano down a cobblestone street that they will shortly transform into a concert hall of days gone by. The Tango Orchestra is a welcome sight to the locals on the economically tarnished streets of Buenos Aires.Their guerrilla style performances upset the authorities when people spontaneously gather to enjoy this artistic expression on the street. Their passionate rebellion reinforcing a culture that can not now, or ever be, tampered with. The orchestra’s sound is elaborate but raw; politically committed and historically linked to a counterculture more than a hundred years old. This is Buenos Aires 2006.
