Mid Festival Fiesta
featuring Watussi Thursday 13 March

Last year’s Mid Festival Fiesta was one of the Festival’s hottest tickets, and this year you can expect no less. With the charismatic band, Watussi at the helm, the dance floor will be heaving to the sounds of their Cumbia-Rock-Funk-Reggae fusion. So join us on Thursday 13 March at Eastside Arts, Paddington from 830pm. Get your tickets early as this event is sure to sell out.

COMMUNITY SCREENINGS

As part of the festival this year we are also proud to introduce free screenings to the broader community.

Our aim is to provide assistance to the wider community in gaining access to involvement in the Film Festival.

In particular we are keen to involve the following community groups: youth, people with disabilities and/or special needs and Latin American youth, immigrants and refugees.

SLASA

The NSW Spanish and Latin American Association for Social Assistance Inc. SLASA is a community association, which acts in behalf of the different Spanish and Latin-American communities in NSW. It’s objectives include aiding immigrants and refugees to settle in Australia.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) Surry Hills

First launched at Sydney’s Callan Park (now Rozelle Hospital) in
1955, by a small group of interested people who realised the need for helping people who had psychiatric illness to return to a normal and useful life.

It’s core objective is psychosocial rehabilitation where community involvement is recognised as one of the key components in improving their level of well-being. www.pra.org.au
